Stage IV Quality H2O, Inc. also has a unique application on the types of Granulated Activated Carbon to maximize the longevity and efficiency to further removes organic chemicals such as pesticides, industrial solvents, radon, chlorine and amines.
Stage V Holds a patent to prevent calcium deposits, otherwise known as “scaling” from forming on your pipes and appliances such as your water heater, dishwasher, clothes washer, sink faucets, and shower heads.
Automatic Back flush Control
The Fleck Electro mechanical automatic control valve, automatically back flushes and repositions all filtration media bi-monthly, thereby enhancing the absorptive capacity and extending the active life of the filtration media for 10-15 years
The selection of the back flush control valves and systems is completely customizable for each customer. There exists a great variety of models which can be custom modified to the customer’s request. 100% exposure to KDF
Quality H2O has committed countless hours of research and development to ensure that for the life of any of our products, that all of the water that is being treated is completely exposed to the KDF media. KDF is a novel technology and it is also “feisty”. The challenge has always been around keeping the KDF from clumping under certain conditions; allowing water to flow around the KDF rather than through it. Quality H2O, Inc. ensures 100% exposure of all water to flow through the KDF.
There are many reasons why KDF is beneficial and superior to any water treatment media in the market. The KDF media significantly extends the life of the granulated activated carbon; KDF removes carbons and heavy metals; KDF controls microorganisms, and KDF has an effective life span of over 10 years; where Carbon based systems may only be highly effective for half that time.
If used properly, KDF process media can be used to kill bacteria, viruses, spores, removes chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, lead, mercury, copper, nickel, chromium, other dissolved heavy metals, iron , and reduces scale buildup.
The use of KDF Process Media results in the total elimination of some contaminants and a great reduction of a wide variety of others. KDF Process Media works the following way.
KDF Fluid Treatment’s unique combination of copper and zinc creates an electro-chemical reaction. In other words, because of the difference in metals, especially between Copper and Zinc, there exists a potential difference, or a difference in charge between both metals. What happens is an active exchange of electrons between both metals. Any liquid that gets exposed through this field of electrons will be exposed to the giving up and accepting of electrons; a process commonly called reduction-oxidation. During this reaction, electrons are transferred between molecules, and new elements are created. Some harmful contaminants are changed into harmless components.
Free chlorine, for instance, is changed into, water-soluble chloride, which is non hostile to the body. Chloride is then carried harmlessly through the water supply. Similarly, some heavy metals such as copper, lead, mercury and others, react to plate out onto the medium’s surface, thus being effectively removed from the water supply.

- KDF media consistently remove 99% of free chlorine by electrochemically reducing dissolved chlorine gas to water-soluble chloride ions.
- Redox media remove up to 98% of water-soluble cations (positively-charged ions) of lead, mercury, copper, nickel, chromium, and other dissolved metals.
- Redox media alloy function as catalysts to change soluble ferrous cations (positively-charged ions) into insoluble ferric hydroxide, which can be removed with regular backwashing. With enough oxygen dissolved in the water, iron removal rates of 98 percent or better are common.
- KDF Process Media help control microorganisms by creating an environment that’s deadly to some microorganisms and that interferes with the ability of many other microorganisms to function

The De-scaler™ Holds a patent to prevent calcium deposits, otherwise known as “scaling” from forming on your pipes and appliances such as your water heater, dishwasher, clothes washer, sink faucets, and shower heads. This technology renders all water softener systems obsolete!
The de-scaler™ is piped separate from the unit, it is the last step before the water enters your house. Our de-scaler™ is designed to ensure that 100% of all the water that flows through the pipe is exposed to the de-scaler™. Once again, just as Quality H2O’s designers are committed to ensure all the water passes through KDF media ; they also committed the same design concept to the de-scaler™; that all water is exposed and “mixes” through the de-scaler™ for the life of the unit.
